Mount Olivet has continued to grow along with Plymouth's population growth. Increasing numbers of children in Sunday School led to the building of an education wing in 1974. Further building expansions included a new Worship Center in 1987, and in 2002 additional space was added for offices, education and fellowship. Our building has expanded, not only to give current members more space for worship and activities, but to make room for others. Mount Olivet offers many opportunities for people to grow in their faith including intergenerational worship and service projects for those in need. Mount Olivet reaches out to the immediate community through its Taking Questions/Wednesdays at Mount Olivet series, educating children ages six weeks to five years through the Child Learning Center, providing community garden space, and offering musical entertainment and fellowship at the Higher Grounds Coffee House Concerts. Mount Olivet has also reached out beyond the community of Plymouth to become a ministry partner with Trinity Congregation in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood and Nokomis Heights Lutheran Church in Minneapolis as well as Msasani Lutheran Church in Tanzania. We invite all to join us as we find our place in God's Unfolding Story!
