MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE
The Chancel Choir is made up of adults of all ages and musical abilities and sings regularly for 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship, occasionally for 9:45 a.m. worship, and for special holiday services. The Choir anchors the annual Advent Festival Concert, held the second weekend of December. This 30+ member ensemble rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 7:15p.m. No audition is required and new members are always welcome.
The Gathering Team / OASIS Band These auditioned ensembles are made up of a combination of amateur and professional musicians. The Gathering teams lead worship at 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. each Sunday and the OASIS Band leads worship on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m.
The Handbell Choir plays during festival worship at Christmas and Easter and for the annual Advent Festival Concert. The Bells rehearse on Sunday afternoons for 6 weeks prior to each performance.
The Children’s Choir is for young people in kindergarten through grade six, rehearsing from 6:15 - 6:45p.m. Wednesday evenings during the program year. The Choir sings for one of Mount Olivet's worship services once every month and is directed by Sarah Hoerr, Children's Music Director. The Highlight of our fall was the amazing Christmas Program: The Relectant InnKeeper.
